North Phoenix And Scottsdale Young Adults In Their 20s

This group is for the younger crowd. Anyone between the ages of 20 to 30 is welcome to join. Isn't it tough to meet other people your age? Especially after college is over...or maybe you moved here from another state. I'm a transplant from the midwest myself, so I found it hard to meet others in the Phoenix area once I moved here. Well, I hope to do us all a good service by setting up this group and giving us a chance to grow our friend circles. The activities are going to vary. They will be things that a majority of us enjoy such as... MOVIES, OUTDOOR ACTIVITIES, SPORTING EVENTS, WINE NIGHTS, VIDEO GAMES, DINNERS, ART EVENTS...and whatever other ideas people bring to the group! Basically the group is for people that just want to get themselves back out there and meet other bright young adults. The locations for the meetup will be located all around the valley, but the main location is planned to be in North Phoenix / North Scottsdale.

We are inviting all overweight BBW and SSBBW women , and the men who like them to go dancing every fri night at Elis bar and grill( nw corner plaza of Scottsdale Rd and Shea in Scottsdale), and on sat at Grahams Central Station( sw plaza of Elliot and priest in Tempe. )
We recommend these long standing and popular dance clubs as a basic and regular meeting place for people to meet new people and dance.
Both places are a bbw and ssbbw friendly environment, which means that not only are there so many people that you can blend right in, but no one really cares that you are overweight, because they are busy dancing and meeting people them selves.
The real problem is that allot of women truly believe that allot of men do not like overweight women. But the facts are that allot of men like women who weight anything from 160 to 600 lbs. Men are looking for these women as hard as the women are looking for men. The problem is that these two groups of people rarely even meet each other.
We are holding these events as a way for both men and women to meet on an on going basis. We will be advertising these events on the craigslist community but also by personal inviting people from match.com and yahoo personals. But even more important we will be turning Plenty Of Fish into a bbw and ssbbw dating and personals site.
This group is about more than just dancing, but the biggest problem is just getting people out of the house. Dancing is just the excuse ,to accomplish the desired results.
There will no organized place to sit or meet, we just for people to show up and look around and ask questions to the people that they meet. The point is to provide a fun, safe place for people to meet and talk.
But we are also providing a sign up list for people who want to be dance partners and hosts for bbw and ssbbw women. The pint is for these hosts to talk and dance with women who want dance partners , so that they are not sitting around all night. At the group site we ask that you post a picture and e-mail address for people to get in contact with you. We ask that men and women both post pictures, cause both groups always want to see who that they are talking too. It is only fair when you are asking for someone to meet you at a location that they can see for themselves.
As a note to the women , men will want to see your shape, so a full body photo is best. And as a note to the men , women will want to talk to get to know you. So they will have to have a detailed e-mail about what kind of person that you are and what ever .

Elis bar and grill (Fri nights)
This club plays live rock and top forty music, that caters to the over 40 business crowd. This is a local watering hole, and they rarely even advertise. They are open tue to sat , and the band starts at 8:30. Admission is always free , and drinks are about $6 ea. Dress is casual and the age group is 30 to 70 that you will regularly see on the dance floor.
The most popular night is fri .
The biggest problem with this club is that there is no place to sit inside. There is normally open sits on the patio. But in general expect to stand around and people watch or better yet dance.
We are asking bbw and ssbbw women to show up on fri nights as our regular event, but you can also show up on sat nights if you like this low key atmosphere better than grahams central station.
Grahams Central Station : sat nights
Admission is free from 6:30 to 8 pm and $ 6 after 8pm, they close at 2 pm. The normal crowd shows up around 10 pm.
From 6: 30 to 7: 30 ,they have free country dance lessons with rotating partners. You change partners every 3 mins. You can show up alone or bring a partner but you still have to switch partners every 3 mins, during this lesson time.

This is a large place with three different dance floors. Country western is the largest dance floor. They play rock top 40 on one dance floor and R & B or hip hop on the other dance floor.
The age group is 21 to 70 on the dance floor, and there is plenty of places to sit.

We are an activity based group that focuses on small group events and activities. The focus is on smaller groups so that everyone can feel welcomed and get comfortable with each other without the pressures of the "crowd". Activities include seasonal ones like haunted houses for Halloween, NewYears events around town, Fourth of July celebrations, and First Fridays too!
